01 Our story

Built for Formal, Elegant Celebrations

There is an enduring elegance to Northfield Estate, shaped by its architecture, its landscape, and a belief that the finest celebrations are those in which guests feel genuinely welcomed. Set upon nearly 50 acres of Virginia countryside, with old trees, a pond, and an ornate ballroom that has seen generations of first dances, the estate offers a rare balance of grandeur and intimacy.

The manor and grounds have been renovated with care: new terraces below the house, a refinished ballroom, a permanent sailcloth tent, and, for 2027, private suites upstairs so couples can stay the weekend.

Northfield is owned and operated by a small team that manages a family of wedding estates. We believe exceptional hospitality is seldom announced: it is experienced in the care taken in preparation, the attention given to each detail, and the ease with which a celebration unfolds.
