Northfield Estate can accommodate up to 200 guests in our outdoor spaces. The Estate Ballroom can accommodate up to 60 for a seated reception.

Unfortunately, the interior of the home is not handicap accessible. However, we have made provisions for all outdoor events to be ADA compliant.

12 hours for Friday or Saturday rentals and up to 10 hours for Sunday rentals. Additional hours are available at a rate of $500 per hour.

Unfortunately due to county ordinances, all guests including vendors must depart from the property no later than 10:45 pm.

Culinary services for weddings at Northfield Estate are provided by our in-house, executive chef. If an outside caterer is needed due to cultural reasons, this must be discussed and approved by a member of Northfield’s team and a fee will apply.

We provide: 150 tan Willow ceremony chairs, 150 padded King Louis reception chairs, 15 round tables (72”), 10 high top cocktail tables, an assortment of 4’, 6’ and 8’ rectangular tables, and 1 white Estate Bar (6’). Setup and breakdown of all Northfield owned tables and chairs is also included. Guest counts greater than 150 will incur additional costs at $50 per person for supplemental tables and chairs.

The event rental fee varies based on time of year! Prices start at $9500 for rental of Northfield Estate during Peak Season dates. Yes! All clients are required to hire a professional, licensed and insured wedding planner that offers full planning, partial planning, or event management services.

With the exception of our in-house culinary team and exclusive rental company, Rent-E-Quip, clients may hire any other vendors of their choosing. All vendors must be licensed and insured and provide Northfield Estate with a Certificate of Insurance 30 days prior to the event.

Yes! Clients have access to the Sailcloth Tent and white draping from April-November. The Sailcloth Tent is unavailable for use during the off-peak season (December-March). Clients are welcome to rent additional tents and accessories (side walls, fans, heaters, etc.) through Rent-E-Quip.

Currently, we do not offer overnight accommodations at the venue. This is something we hope to expand upon in the future! Until then, we would be happy to provide lodging recommendations for the nearest accommodations in Farmville, VA.

Depending on your guest count, the Ballroom and Sailcloth Tent can both serve as indoor/covered spaces in the event of rain for your ceremony and/or reception.

Yes! There are a total of 8 guest restrooms, including 2 handicap accessible restrooms, located on the lower terrace.

Yes! We have a large gravel parking lot that can accommodate 80+ vehicles. Handicap drop-off locations are available. All events over 150 guests will require hired transportation.

Yes! All clients are required to obtain event insurance and provide Northfield with a copy.
